a My Biography:
I was born in Leipzig, Germany. My passion for singing started very early. All through my school years, I sang in choirs and often had little solos. My decision to study voice was an obvious one for me. I have an undergraduate degree in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy (teaching) from Musikhochschule "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin , Germany and a Master of Music Performance degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. Throughout my career, I have performed in operas, solo recitals, chamber music and as a soloist with orchestras in Germany and the US. For the last 25 years, I have taught voice privately, as well as at the college level at Tulane University and at Loyola University College of Music, New Orleans. I am an active performer and teacher (see upcoming performance page). My studio is in the heart of the Village of Wauwatosa in Milwaukee County. I have worked as Associate Director with the Milwaukee Children's Choir, directing the Prelude Choir (grades 1 and 2). Former member of the Milwaukee Choristers, current proud member of the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus. I have held professional Memberships in the following: National Association of Teachers of Singing, American Guild of Musical Artists, Wisconsin School Music Teacher's Association |
